As mentioned in a previous entry, Andrew and I decided we'd like to have some fish to keep us company over here. We discovered that buying the equipment was much cheaper online, so on Thursday night we put in an order for a 2.5 gallon aquarium with filter, heater, light and food. We were very impressed when it all (barring the fluoro which is coming from California) arrived on our 'doorstep' on Saturday morning. Yay for Fedex.
So we set it all up and put conditioners in the water to get it ready for some fish! Then we went to our local pet store to find some fish and plants. We decided on two guppies and a betta (siamese fighter). They look very pretty in their new home. Lets just hope they survive. Fortunately the shop gives a 14 day guarantee on fish - if anything 'happens' you just have to bring back the receipt (and the dead fish) to get a new one!!

The berliner looks pretty good too. Actually, it looks kind of half way between a berliner and a kitchener. Yum!

Good work on the fish you two! I'm very impressed the pet shop offers a 14 day guarantee on fish! I don't think Aggie's Pet Emporium at Pooraka offers such a guarantee. If they did, I'd be able to get new fish for all the ones Andrew killed when he was back... Watch him, Elsie... On the 15th day those fish of yours are doomed...
