I found out about this annual bike swap that is held close to where we are living so I decided to check it out. Although Andrew suggested I take some cash with me I was pretty sure I would be able to pay by cheque (check). They LOVE checks here! I found myself a nice little bike, and then discovered that I should have listened to Andrew's advice. So I put the bike in an inconspicuous spot and started my hike to the ATM.
However, as you could guess it wasn't long before someone spotted this bike and decided to take it themselves... So back to square one. Feeling a little dejected I wandered round to see if there were any other good bikes, and in the process fortuitously bumped into a guy that I had met at an orchestra rehearsal the week before. He (re)introduced himself and it turns out that he loves fixing up bikes. He was really helpful, picked out a bike that fits me well and is in fact quite a nice bike. I paid $350 for it, and my new friend took it home to work on the gears and clean it up for me.

Sweet bike! Can you get one for me? Hans should be impressed with the carbon - even though it can't be turned into a plane...
I thought I saw you riding to work this morning where we used to cross paths. But then, I realised you probably wouldn't be riding down Frome Rd at about 8am... Damn early morning lectures.
